The Lunar Patong ★★★★

Lovely staff and clean room.

Breakfast was okay but a little limited. The swimming pool and outdoor area does not really get the sun throughout the day as it is the wrong side of the building.

Nice location, good rooms, and housekeeping is great

I did not like the receptionist I believe her name is  princess . Really bad attitude and she made everything so difficult. I wanna go back and book with same hotel but because of her I will never do that. Poor hospitality

The young lady at the reception is an asset to the place and deserves recognition. She was left alien by other members to dealing with a bunch of recalcitrant tourists upon checkout. Their attitude and offensive behavious would strain the patience of any number of religious figures. She is pretty much the only big positive of the place. Oh! And the (older) security guy at the front gate to the car park. Great sense of humour.

The guests. Several groups. Some jumped queues, most whinged constantly to the reception staff, one group of five (staying in one room it seemed!) argued with management about their overstay, while others were generally completely inconsiderate of other guests. For that reason, I'll never stay again.

the swimming pool is dirty and you get no sun at any time of day. House keeping quite often forgot to leave essentials in the room after cleaning !

There was a huge blood stain on sofa next to bed. Additionally there was a make up stain on pillow

Ok location in Patong, it was a long walk to the main strip. The staff were very unhelpful. We were shown our room which was lovely, however when we came to have a shower the water was brown and we had no hot water! We were not informed this when we checked in which was disappointing so throughout our four night stay we had no hot water and were told it’s not going to be fixed for another two weeks. The communication was definitely lacking. We then asked if we could do some laundry as we saw they offered this and we’re told to go over the road.Then to our surprise later that day that they were offering a laundry service! The AC also broke, and it took three people to come in to the room over a good hour, to make sure we hadn’t done anything to it in order for it to break. It ended up being a tripped switch as I had suggested, but they didn’t want to believe us. The final straw was when we asked about the local bus that takes you the Phuket Old Town, when the lady on reception was on her own, she told us she had never heard of this bus and didn’t know what we meant. We asked her a day later, when presumably her supervisor was there, and she said she knew it and where we could catch it and the price.. We ended up walking to the beach with our big bags for 15 minutes, got on the bus, and ended back up outside our hotel as there was a stop one building to the right. She clearly wanted to sell us a private taxi for 600k, when the public bus cost 50k.

Nice hotel, good location, good value for money.

It seems that they gave up on the business, restaurant is closed, pool bar closed, little defects in the shower. It's a shame because the hotel has really good potential.
